Weather

The climate in Kullu and Manali is largely cold during winters and quite cool during summers. The temperatures range from -10 °C to 20 °C round the year. The average temperature during summer is between 04 °C to 15 °C and between −10 °C to 05 °C in winters.Snowfall often takes place between November end to early February. The weather in this region is not stable.

 

Summers of Kullu Manali

 Summers in Kullu/Manali region starts in the month of March and lasts till June. It is the best the perfect time to stop here in order to get full enjoyment from sightseeing and  from other adventurous activities such as paragliding, rafting and mountain sports in Solang Valley. Temperature varies from 10°C to 25°C and the weather remains enjoyable during the day and a bit cooler during night. You can see snowfall at very high altitudes. This weather is suitable for those tourists who are visiting here from the motive of  enjoying adventurous sports

Monsoons in Kullu Manalii

 Kullu/Manali experiences monsoon in the months between July and mid-September. The region experiences some irregular showers and unpredictable landslides that may cause disruption in travel, therefore it is not at all advisable to visit Kullu/Manali in rainy season.

Winters at Kullu Manali

 October to February is the winter season and is considered to be the best time to visit Manali if you like the cold and January is best to enjoy the chilly pleasure of fresh snowfall. The temperature drops down below zero degrees Celsius followed by heavy snowfall.  This season is considered to be the best time to visit Kullu/Manali as one can enjoy the nature to the most. But make sure not to take toddlers along with you especially in winters.
